Design
The Dlight creative project is the result of work and energy of 5 young Italians with a variety of experiences at national and international level coordinated by Tommaso Corà. Together with Dlight strong professional skills they helped the birth of this first collection presenting Dlight to the public.
Tommaso Corà (Arzignano, 1975)
Tommaso Corà, graduated form the faculty of Industrial Design in Venice Architecture University (IUAV). The studies took place at Venice, Milan and Lisbon. In 2002 he met the designer Aldo Cibic and started to collaborate with him, designing for major design companies like Alessi, Artemide, Caimi Brevetti, Emu, Foscarini, La Rinascente , Lema, Paola C. and others.
In 2004 he was part of a group of architects, urbanists and designers leaded by Aldo Cibic realizing Microrealities, a research project presented at the Venice Biennale of Architecture 2004 (exhibits also at KUNSTHAUS in Graz, 2005, and at the International Center of Architectural Studies of Vicenza, 2006). He also took part in others research projects like "New Stories New Design" (Venice Biennale of Architecture 2004 and Shanghai Biennale of Art 2006), "A Perfect Weekend" (Milano, New York, Istanbul exhibits in 2005), "Perchè Design" (installation / performance in Milano, 2006), the last of them personally coordinated.
He was the manager of the Design Department of Fabrica during 2005. In 2006 he left Fabrica to found with Aldo Cibic the “CibicWorkshop” - a new design and research center in Vicenza, Italy. He gave lectures in Parson School (New York), Domus Academy (Milano), Politecnico di Milano (Milano), Scuola Politecnica di Design (Milano) and IUAV (Venice Architecture Universitary Institute), where he teaches with Aldo Cibic.
